I just finished If We Were Villains and it's a 5 stars for me. The writing is beautiful, the setting is very atmospheric and the characters are all so well fleshed out. I cried near the end, my heart was shattered. And that ending... Such an incredible book.
My favorite dark academia book is actually If We Were Villains, so I am glad you enjoyed it too :) Also, thank you for the antology recommendation, I will see if I can find it at the library too.

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is my favorite book and Half a Soul reminded me of while reading though it's less of a romance but I think you will really enjoy it!
i read if we were villains before the dark academia boom and im so happy to see the book appreciated as much as it deserves to be! i had mixed feelings on the in these hallowed halls anthology, but i absolutely adored olivie blakes pythia in it. the secret history and the atlas six are both on my physical tbr and im very excited to read them soon!
Your videos are so calming to watch. 'If We Were Villains' is one of my favourite dark academia novel and I am so happy you loved it too. I am pretty sure you will enjoy 'The Secret History' too, Both books are quite similar, but TSH is much more detailed and seems to be darker than IWWV.
